AquaCo whole-house water filter system, WaterMark and NSF certified

Answers to common questions about choosing, installing, and maintaining a water filtration system from Vic Water Filters. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Call us on 0402 165 699 or email sales@vicwaterfilters.com.au.

How long does installation take?

Most under-sink and benchtop systems are installed the same day. Whole-house systems typically take 2 to 4 hours, depending on your home’s layout and the distance between your main water inlet and where the filter needs to be installed. Our licensed plumbers will confirm timing when you book.

Do I need a plumber, or can I install it myself?

Whole-house systems and anything connecting to your mains water supply must be installed by a licensed plumber to meet Victorian compliance requirements. All our whole-house installations are carried out by our own licensed plumbers and come with a VBA Plumbing Compliance Certificate. Some benchtop and simple undersink units can be self-installed; ask us if you’re unsure which applies to your system.

How often do filters need to be replaced?

Replacement frequency depends on your system and household water usage, typically around every 18 months for a standard household. We offer filter change reminders and scheduled servicing so you never have to keep track yourself.

What’s the difference between whole-house, reverse osmosis, and benchtop systems?

Whole-house systems filter water at your main supply line, treating every tap in the home. Reverse osmosis systems install under the kitchen sink and provide the highest level of filtration for drinking and cooking water. Benchtop systems are a simple, no-installation option for a single tap. Not sure which fits your home? Call us for a free consultation.

What areas do you service?

We’re based in Hampton Park and, with a team of licensed plumbers, service homes right across Melbourne and Victoria. Contact us to confirm coverage and book your installation.

What warranty comes with your systems?

All systems come with a 2-year warranty covering parts. Full details are available on our Refund and Returns Policy page.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal and major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Contact us if you’d like to discuss payment plan options for whole-house systems.

Can I return a product if I change my mind?

Yes, subject to our Refund and Returns Policy. Contact us at sales@vicwaterfilters.com.au or 0402 165 699 to arrange a return.

Do you offer a free water test?
